<p>Transvenous stimulating electrode for cardiac pacemaker, having a cylindrical electrode head as carrier for the electrical contact surface and with a wound electrode lead wire coupled to the head and externally insulated. A plunger rod (18) slides axially along the electrode head (2) and projects through the face (10) of the electrode head with a contact element (20) on the projecting rod end whose dia. is greater than that of the plunger rod and which is electrically coupled to the lead wire over the rod (18). The plunger rod (18) is mechanically stressed (22) to spring load the rod towards the face of the electrode head and is released by an externally actuated mechanism.</p> |
