PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the labor, time and cost needed for laying a wire circuit and to collect the meter information in a wide range with no limit of construction by transmitting the meter information on the amounts used of utilities such as the electric power, gas, water service, etc., to an earth station from each terminal station via an artificial satellite. SOLUTION: A cipher machine 211 and a transmitter 212 are driven by an external power supply 214. The machine 211 enciphers the meter information 12 and outputs the encipherment information 13. The encipherment can be omitted as long as the information 12 is not altered. The information 13 is inputted to the transmitter 212 and continuously transmitted through an antenna 213. The information 13 sent from a terminal station 210 is received by an earth station 400 via an artificial satellite 310. The station 400 consists of an antenna 410, a receiver 420 and a decoder 430. The information 13 received by the receiver 420 via the antenna 410 is decoded into the information 12 by the decoder 430. The satellite 310 can use either of geostatic or orbital satellite. |
