PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make assembly to a sealed luminaire possible. SOLUTION: An arc tube 1 has a glass bulb formed in such a shape that a discharge path is crooked so as to form a compact shape, and a lighting circuit 4 mounted on a paper phenol printed board 4a is housed in a case body 2 for supporting the arc tube 1. The arc tube 1 having a total length of 125-145mm is lit by high frequency obtained by converting input power of 12-14W in a circuit loss of 2.0±1W or less, and thereby, total luminous flux equivalent to an incandescent lamp for general illumination having a nominal rated consuming power of 60W is generated. |
