The container (10) includes a first base member (12) having a transparent area (18) located so that an object to be placed within the container is visible through the transparent area when the container is in a closed position. The container also includes a second base member (14) and a hinge (16) interconnecting the first and second base members. - The first base member is movable w.r.t. the second base member between a closed position in which the peripheral edges (20, 22) are releasably latchable, and an open position in which the base members are at least partially spaced from each other.
