PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound useful as an additive composition for the raising of animal, etc., by keeping a flurry containing an Mg salt in alkaline state, adding lysine, Mg(OH)2 , etc., and phosphoric acid to the slurry at the same time and keeping the temperature and pH of the mixture to respectively specific levels. SOLUTION: Crystal of a compound expressed by the formula RaMgbHcPO4 (H2 O)n (R is lysine H cation; (a) is 0.15-1.0; (b) is 1.0-1.42; (c) is 0-0.3; (n) is 0-10) is produced by adding a phosphoric acid component and an Mg component at the same time of a crystal-containing slurry under alkaline condition while keeping the temperature to >=50 deg.C. The pH of the alkaline reaction liquid is >=6, preferably 7-11, more preferably 7.5-10. The reaction is carried out by controlling the addition speed of the raw material so as to keep the average retention time of the slurry to >=30min, preferably >=1hr. |
