PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove minute dust and dirt, sticking around a read head, and to execute a smooth operation without impairing the function of a reader by setting the surface of a card in a size that can be inserted into the card reader as the cleaning face and using the cleaning card which is bent by a bending part in accordance with the inclination of the card guide face of a card insertion part in the card reader. SOLUTION: In the cleaning card 2, paper, synthetic resin or a metal board which has restoration force tolerable for several times of use is used for a substrate. The bending part 5 where the intermediate or the latter half part of the card 2 is bent in a wave-like projection or in an arc form is generated. The non-woven fabric 3a of extra fine fiber is adhered to one side or both sides of the substrate. Extra fine fiber has a characteristic for catching minute dust. Adhesive may be applied instead of the non-woven fabric 3a of extra fine fiber. Thus, minute dust accumulated on recessed parts before and after a sensor is removed by the card 2 bent in the wave-like projection by friction- pressing it by traveling the cleaning card 2 in the reader. |
