PURPOSE:To remove adhered ink, in the cleaning device which removes the ink or dust adhered to the end face of the nozzle, by sweeping the nozzle hole by a moving member provided with a ink absorbing body when a power source is turned ON. CONSTITUTION:On a recording head 1, the nozzle 5, a pair of deflecting electrodes 6, a gutter 7 which recovers unnecessary ink, and the moving member 9 having a charging electrode are mounted. On said moving member 9, the ink absorbing body 12 made of Japanese paper, cloth, or the like is attached to the left side of an electrode 8 provided at the opposite side of the nozzle 5. The moving member 9 moves along a guide rail 10. When a power source is turned ON, the head 1 moves to the left from a home position, a solenoid 20 is excited, a hole 17 in a side plate 3 is closed by a rotary lever 19, the moving member 9 is stopped, the member 9 is pushed and moved in the direction A by a spring 13, the ink absorbing body 12 sweeps the tip of the nozzle, and the adhered ink is wiped off. |
