At least two radial suction blowers are mounted side by side where the intake opening (24,25) is at least 10 percent smaller than the outer vane diameter of the blower disc. The intake opening is preferably circular with the centre of the opening off-set from the centre of the blower disc (24). The opening could be elliptical. Four suction blowers can be mounted side by side with each two having a common side outlet. The suction blower is preferably driven by a V-belt drive whose drive disc is mounted on the output shaft of the bevel gear.
