The calibration device (3,4,5) with adjusted intermediate space gives calibration radiation for the infrared detectors. The calibration device incorporates at least one light source (3), which gives an illumination of the group ring of the infrared detectors with a radiation which is essentially free from discontinuity. A picture processing unit (4) activates the light source, registering individually the signals produced by the detector components and storing them in a memory (5). The picture processing unit (4) based on the signals stored in the memory (5) establishes at least one correction value for each detector component, so that the effect of the illumination varying intensity over the detectors in the group ring is removed and the individual variation of the detectors in relation to the remaining detectors remains. |
