PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the right/left weight balance of an offset boom unit at the time of an offset and avoid the contact between the offset boom unit and the ground. SOLUTION: This offset boom type construction machine is provided with an offset boom unit 14 constituted of a lower boom 1 having a first bracket 11, an upper boom 2, a cylinder stay 3 having a second bracket 12, a parallel link stay 4, and an offset cylinder 5. Rotary shafts B, B' at both ends of the upper boom 2 are fitted eccentrically by the prescribed sizeδto the opposite side to the side where the parallel link stay 4 is provided against the line A-A' connecting the points bisecting the tip sections of the lower boom 1 and the cylinder stay 3 in the vertical direction. The first and second brackets 11, 12, the parallel stay link 4, and the offset cylinder 5 are fitted near to the line A-A.
