THIGH-STRAPPED STAND-ALONE IMAGER

A standalone-image processor for fighter pilots featuring dimensions affording a clear view of aerial photo and other types of images displayed on the device display (4). The device features a strap (3) for attaching the device to the thigh of a pilot. The device also features a removable glare hood (2) for shielding the display from sun glare. The device also features software and a custom function key strip (1) for entering and executing commands specific to the application of viewing photo images and other types of target images. The concept behind the present invention is to provide a stand-alone unit for use in a fighter plane or helicopter cockpit, as opposed to an integrated avionics solution, because a stand-alone approach can be applied in a relatively short amount of time.
