PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for forming a color image at a high speed with a relatively simple constitution. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises an image recording mechanism 14 having ink heads corresponding to a plurality of colors, and an intermediate transfer 12 formed with a transfer image by the mechanism 14 to form an image by transferring the transfer image formed on the transfer 12 to a medium 18 to be recorded. In this case, the mechanism 14 has the plurality of ink heads of the plurality of colors, i.e., yellow heads 14Y1 to 14Y3., magenta heads 14M1 to 14M3, cyan heads 14C1 to 14C3 and black heads 14K1 to 14K3 disposed along a conveying direction of the transfer 12. |
