<p>This invention concerns an impulse voltage generator circuit for providing a lightning voltage impulse to test the capacitance of a test piece which has two chargeable stages (1, 2). Each stage (1, 2) comprises a surge capacitor (11, 21) and a switching spark gap (12, 22) connected in series, a parallel resistor (13, 23) connected in parallel to the surge capacitor (11, 21) and switching spark gap (12, 22), and connected in series to this, a series resistor (14, 24). The two stages (1, 2) are connected with one another in such a way that they can be charged when switched in parallel and discharged when switched in series. A load capacitor (4) is connected to the second stage (2). Between the second stage (2) and the load capacitor (4) is arranged a supplementary circuit element (5) for reducing the overshoot of the pulse wave front of the lightning voltage impulse in the load capacitor (4). The supplementary circuit element (5) has a compensation capacitor (51) and a discharge resistor (52) switched in parallel to it.</p> |
