<p>The mechanism, in which the wiper is mounted on one end (12) of a shaft (10) which is driven in an alternating rotary motion, consists of a housing (14) containing a cam (34) which varies the shaft's angle of inclination relative to an axis (A0) perpendicular to the plane of the windscreen. The cam mechanism causes the shaft to pivot about an axis (A3) lying perpendicular to its lengthwise axis as it rotates, the shaft being equipped with a cam follower (36) which interacts with the cam surface (34) on a disc (40) which can be rotated in the housing (14).</p> |
