The spoke insertion machine has a framework (6, 21) with support rollers (3, 5, 18). The support rollers support the wheel rim (4). The wheel rim has regularly spaced gaps (26) for the nipples which tension the spokes. The nipples are inserted by a powered screwdriver. Positioning pins are used along the heart line (8) of the screwdriver. The drive machine for the insertion includes two operating cylinders (8, 9) which operate with a slide (13) and pivoting arms (14, 17).
