Pharmaceutical compsn. (P) of phytochemicals comprises a plant extracts of alcohol-extractable components: (A) in a medium comprising an alkanol-free, hydrophilic liq. medium; and (B) comprising /- 1 edible sugars (I) as solubiliser, /- 1 liq. polyol (II) and /- 1 water-soluble surfactant (II), where the components are pharmaceutically acceptable. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (P) from an alcoholic (esp. methanolic or ethanolic) plant extract, by removing the extractant, and combining with (B). |
