PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically recording medium which can obtain a tracking error signal necessary for accurate track counting and an ID signal with a sufficient amplitude. SOLUTION: In this optically recording medium, information can be recorded individually on tracks formed by land parts 401 and a group part 402 provided between the land parts. Trains of prepits 403 and 405 are formed being circumferentially shifted corresponding to individual pieces of preformat information on the adjacent land parts 401 and the group part 402. Moreover, group parts 404 for counting tracks are formed on both sides of the train of the prepit 403 for the land parts 401. The prepit 405 of the group part 402 has a depth or a width different from the group part 402, the group part 404 for counting has a depth or a width different from the group part 402 and the prepit 403 for the land parts 401 is formed narrower and/or shallower than the group 404 for counting. |
