The radiation therapy device is contained within a case which has a lower case half (2) containing the control console (19) for the therapy device and an upper case half (3) incorporating at least one radiation lamp (6,7) on its inside face. Each radiation lamp may have an electrical power of about 35 watt, with an overall light output of 10,000 lux at a distance of 50 cm.
