Testing material thermophysical characteristics

To test the thermophysical characteristics of a flat material sample, especially a textile fabric, two samples of identical dimensions are arranged in symmetry at a flat heater. The materials are initially heated temporarily, and then each is cooled for an identical time span without external influences. The temperature change is measured continuously on the heating plane, and the thermophysical characteristic is taken from the temperature measurements in the heating plane, the delivered heat, material thickness and density. Also claimed is an apparatus with a measurement unit (8) with a measurement chamber (10) structured according to the measuring requirements. It has a current supply (5), measurement amplifier and control unit (6) and a computer system (7).
