PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a higherα-olefin copolymer excellent in weather resistance, ozone resistance, thermal aging resistance and low-temperature properties and also excellent in dynamic properties such as flex resistance. SOLUTION: This copolymer is the one comprising ethylene, a 6-20C higherα-olefin and a nonconjugated polyene and having an ethylene toα-olefin molar ratio of 50/50 to 5/95, an iodine value of 2-40, an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 1.0-10dl/g (as measured in decalin at 135 deg.C) and a degree of crystallinity of 5% or below (as measured by X-ray diffractometry) and is used for vibration- damping rubbers, rubber rolls, covering materials for vibrating members, tires, belts, or resin modifiers.
