PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition, excellent in extreme-pressure properties, abrasion and corrosion resistances and useful as an additive, etc., for a pressure medium liquid, a metallic working fluid, etc., by compounding a lubricant, etc., with a specific dithiophosphorylated propionic acid and an oil additive. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a lubricant such as an industrial oil or a grease, a fuel such as a base oil, a metallic working fluid or a pressure medium liquid, (B) preferably 0.005-0.05wt.% compound represented by the formula [R1 and R2 are each a 3-18C alkyl, a 5-12C cycloalkyl, a 5-6C cycloalkylmethyl, a 9-10C bicycloalkylmethyl, a 9-10C tricycloalkylmethyl, phenyl, a 7-24C alkylphenyl or both together represent (CH3 )2 C(CH2 )2 ; R3 is H or methyl] and, as desired, (C) other usually used oil additives such as an antioxidant, a metallic deactivator or a rust preventing agent. |
