PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer compsn. which is excellent in thermal stretchability, hardly causes cracks or local nonuniformity of thickness to occur during thermal stretching, and is excellent in gas barrier properties. SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises 100 pts.wt. polymer component comprising 55-97wt.% ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having an ethylene content of 20-70mol% and 3-45wt.% polyamide resin and 0.1-30 pts.wt. hydrophobic plasticizer satisfying the relation: 15<= CH(A)}<1/2> +SP(C)<=22 [wherein CH(A) is the ethylene content (mol%) of the copolymer; and SP(C) is the solubility parameter of the plasticizer (calculated by Fedors formula)]. |
