PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke device capable of making the text video of a musical piece in singing easy to see for singer and also displaying a video capable of obtaining a sufficient effect as a background video. SOLUTION: When a CPU 7 outputs a background video signal to an external video editing part 15 by controlling an external video reproducer 2, the external video editing part 15 produces a new background video signal which is obtained by lowering the luminance of the text video display part of the background video signal or by making the text video display part roughly white and black to output it to a superimposing part 9. When the CPU 7 supplies character information and color changing information or the like from musical data stored in a playing data storage part 14 to the part 9, the part 9 superimposes the text video signal on the background video signal to display the background video signal and the text video signal on the video display device of a video display part 13. |
