Whitening teeth comprises: (a) storing liq. compsn. contg. a tooth whitening bleach (TWB) and a breath freshener (BF) in a portable spraying container having a spraying mechanism with a blunt actuator button for spraying the compsn. out of the container; (b) exposing the surfaces of the teeth by opening the mouth and exposing the teeth; (c) activating the spraying mechanism by pressing the actuator button to spray the compsn. out of the container; (d) directing the spray compsn. onto the exposed faces of the teeth; and (e) allowing the compsn. to remain on the teeth for a selected short period of time and then expectorating the compsn. Also claimed is an appts. for whitening teeth comprising a spraying container (SC), a spraying mechanism (SM) connected to SC for spraying the liq. from the SC, the SM having a blunt actuator button for spraying exposed surfaces of teeth, and a liq. compsn. (LC) at least partly filling the SC, the compsn. containing a TWB and a BF.
