PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of image quality by conducting adaptive compression processing based on compression processing history information in an image coder at a post-stage and preventing disturbance of the adaptive compression processing based on the history information of the compression processing in the image coder at the post-stage because the history information of compression processing is discontinuous in the variation reproduction mode. SOLUTION: A jog memory controller 13 controlling the variation reproduction whose reproduction speed differs from that of a conventional reproduction monitors history information for compression processing indicating a kind of compression processing and location of a frame in a group of picture(GOP) during the conventional reproduction and when the conventional reproduction is switched into the variation reproduction under the control of a system control section 18, history information is newly generated and outputted so that the history information is not discontinuous. |
