<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous ink comprising the suspension of a dyestuff or pigment-absorbed polyester produced from a specific diol and a dimer acid, etc., and giving printed products high in the ink concentrations of printed letters, good in the fixity of the ink and good in water resistance. SOLUTION: This aqueous ink comprises the dyestuff or pigment-absorbed suspension of a polyester, gives printed products high in the ink concentrations of printed letters, and has improved ink fixity and water resistance. The dyestuff or pigment-absorbed suspension of the polyester is obtained by copolycondensing a diol component of the formula [R is a lower alkyl; A is an alkylene; (x), (y) are each an integer of >=1; the average value of (x)+(y) is 2-7] [e.g. polypropylene (2,2)-2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane]with one or more kinds of acid components selected from a dimer acid, a dibasic or more polybasic carboxylic acid (e.g. fumaric acid) excluding the dimer acid, their acid anhydrides, their lower alkyl esters, etc., adding the obtained polyester having an acid value of 3-100KOHmg/g together with the dyestuff of the pigment to a solvent, adding a neutralizing agent to the mixture to ionize the carboxyl groups, adding water to the neutralized mixture, and subsequently distilling off the solvent to invert the mixture into an aqueous phase.</p> |
