Drive torque control for four wheel drive (FWD) vehicle

The method for controlling the drive torque is carried out using a first and a second differential restriction control (20, S140, S150, S160) for the respective restricting of a rotational speed differential between the front left and the front right wheels and also between the rear left and the rear right wheels, by respectively adjusting the drive torque which should be transmitted from an energy source at the four wheel vehicle at each of the front wheels (FL, FR) and at each of the rear wheels (R1, RR). Whereby an adjusting of the drive torque to be transmitted to the rear left and the rear right wheels, by the second differential restriction control takes precedence to the adjusting of the drive torque to be transmitted to the front left and front right wheels, being carried out by the first differential restricting control.
