METHOD FOR SEARCHING FOR PEPTIDES AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING COMPOUNDS

Peptides having enhanced physiological activities are screened via the step (a) of synthesizing an arbitrary number of peptides having arbitrary amino acid sequences different from each other, the step (b) of measuring the desired physiological activities of the peptides synthesized in the step (a) and thus screening an arbitrary number of amino acids having high physiological activities, the step (c) of synthesizing peptides having amino acid sequences which are obtained by processing the data of the amino acid sequences and physiological activities of the peptides screened in the step (c) by a genetic algorithm, and the step (d) of subjecting the peptides obtained in the step (c) to the steps (b) and (c) repeatedly an arbitrary number of times. In the genetic algorithm, each amino acid is expressed in a definite indication and the amino acid sequences of the peptides thus indicated are employed as genes.
