The device (TER) has a network interface (S) for transmission and reception of information via a transmission network (NN), e.g. an ISDN network. An interface (NET) is used for matching information of differing format to the device. A speech recognition device (REC) identifies a spoken information which is converted into a text displayed on a monitor screen (MON), with a speech synthesiser allowing a displayed text to be converted into corresponding speech information, that is then delivered to a loudspeaker (L). |
