METHOD FOR HEAT TREATMENT OF BALLS FROM ROLLING HEAT AND DEVICE FOR ITS EMBODIMENT

FIELD: heat treatment; may be used in the machine building enterprises in manufacture of grinding balls by rolling and forging. SUBSTANCE: grinding balls are heat treated from rolling heat with their forced reaction in heat treatment and regulation of duration of interim cooling and hardening depending on temperature of end of rolling. The device for embodiment of the method has cooling chamber with shields turning round themselves with discharge troughs on loading and unloading sides and transportation mechanism in the form of two closed strands of driving chains with rotating roller installed on them whose end parts resting on and engageable with horizontal guides. Middle parts have knurling and are engageable with balls. Diameter of middle part of rollers equals to 1.2-1.8 of ball diameter and roller spacing equals to 1.05-1.1 of roller diameter. EFFECT: higher quality and stability of heat treatment of balls, controllability of the process of heat treatment by output parameters of preceding hot deformation. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
