PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thin a metallic pipe, also obtain sufficient pressure resisting strength, make the whole of the metallic pipe small in size and light in weight, and lower production costs. SOLUTION: The common rail is so constituted that it is equipped with a metallic pipe 1 where high pressure fuel is accumulated in pressure in its flow path, and through holes communicated with the flow path are formed in its circumferential surface, and with branch guiding bodies 3 which are mounted thereon around the metallic pipe 1 so as to be placed over the through holes, and high pressure fuel is branched so as to be supplied thereto. In this case, each connecting part on which each branch connecting body to be communicated with the through holes is mounted, is projected so as to be formed over the branch guiding bodies 3, furthermore, each fixing fastener 4 fixing the branch guiding bodies 3 over to the metallic pipe 1, is mounted thereto, even if the metallic pipe 1 is thinned so as to be formed, sufficient pressure resisting strength can thereby be insured by the branch guiding bodies 3 at the branched portion of the pipe through which high pressure fuel flows, and by reinforcing bodies 8 at places required, each branch connecting body can be easily replaced at the time of inspection and maintenance, no foreign matter comes in the inside of the metallic pipe 1 when it is inspected and maintained, and the whole of them can be made light in weight, so that manufacturing costs can thereby be reduced. |
