PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of defective welding due to a short circuit between a welding wire and patch and the damage of the strap by coating the surface wherein a water cooling type sliding strap comes into contact with a stock to be welded and a groove with a ceramics having an excellent heat resistance and thermal conductivity in the case of executing vertical butt welding using an electrogas welding method or the like. SOLUTION: The ceramics of Al2 O3 or the like is thermal sprayed on the contacting surface 2 between the sliding strap 1 and the stock to be welded and on the surface of the groove 3 forming the metal to be welded, and coating is executed. By ceramics coating, problems such as welding suspension due to the short circuit between a wire and torch and the front and back side sliding strap during the welding operation, the damage and change of the strap, welding for repair of the welding re-start part or the like are dissolved, whereby welding of high quality and high efficiency is executed. |
