<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely process with a simple method an irregular-shaped discharge, which is produced by metallic working or the like, by first solidifying it by cooling with air for example, and then cutting and discharging. SOLUTION: Scraped out with a scraper 2 from a wheel constituting a part of a device for working a metallic material, an irregular-shaped discharge 10 is brought into a transporting path 1. In the proximity to this path 1, a blow-off part 3 is provided which delivers a cold air to the upstream side in the discharging direction, forcibly blowing the cold air into the transporting path 1, and sufficiently cooling for solidification the passing discharge 10 to the extent of temperature causing no deformation. Then, the cooled discharge 10 is taken into a biting roll 8, cut by multiple blades and discharged outside. The irregular-shaped discharge 10 can pass through the inside of the transporting path 1 in a stable state, preventing troubles in which the discharge is caught on the wall of the path 1 to cause clogging.</p> |
