Flat solar collector tray with integrated layer of thermal insulation

The layer of thermal insulation (1b) can contain an absorber and pipes for a heat transfer medium and has an edge (13) for supporting a pane. The pane rests on the edge, is permeable to radiation and covers the collector tray (1a). The collector tray can be sealably closed by a frame and a peripheral seal, with the pane on top. The collector tray is made of laminated wood with the grain size of the wood chips being the same for both layers. The tray interior is coated with a heat radiation reflecting sheet (1c). Beads (6) on the collector tray reinforce the base; other beads (5) in the thermal insulating layer act as cavities for the pipes.
