An improved picnic table having a planar table top and support braces thereunder that are affixed to the underside of the table and spaced apart in parallel; the supp ort braces being affixed to a pair of vertically disposed side support leg members e ach leg support member extending in a perpendicular relationship relative to the planar table top of the picnic table. A permanently fixed bench seat extends in a lateral dir ection and in a perpendicular orientation relative to the vertically disposed side support leg members at one end of the structure and a pivotable bench seat extends in a late ral direction between the vertically disposed leg support members at the opposing en d of the structure; the pivotable bench seat having elongated pivotal mounted seat su pports that are movable through a substantial 90 degree rotational arc. The pivotal fea tures of the pivotable bench seat will allow an easy and unimpeded access to the picnic t able top for people that are confined to wheelchairs.
