Cellular flywheel pump

The pump rotor rotates between two side plates (11,13) inside a contour ring. At least one of the side plates is made of technological ceramic. One side plate serves as a pressure plate and is thicker or as thick as the opposite side plate which serves as the wear plate (13). The side faces of at least one side plate facing or remote from the rotor has moulded recesses for fitting the side plates, conveying the fluid and/or controlling the flywheel motions. These recesses can be formed by a pressing tool.
