<p>The present invention relates to the field of microbiology and particularly to the production of a formulation which contains as active principle 1-(5-bromofur-2-yl)-2-bromo-2-nitroethene which is used as a sterilization agent to sterilize culture means in order to control bacterial and fungous contaminants. The composition of the present invention may be used conveniently for the production of plants propagated 'in vitro' where surprisingly it was found that its use could substitute totally the prior sterilization process required by culture medium, and it was also found that the composition could even eliminate the addition of growth hormones to said media, said hormones being necessary in normal conditions, in order to obtain a good rooting of the plant in said culture medium during the plant growth.</p> |
