The present invention relates to a remote control device for the panoramic head of a cinematographic or television camera, wherein said device comprises a mobile part (2) mounted on a base (1) for rotation about vertical, horizontal and longitudinal axes (4, 5, 6). This device also includes sensitive gyroscopic members (7, 8, 9) for measuring the horizontal and vertical rotations as well as the rotation about the longitudinal axis, wherein said members are located within the mobile part (2) of the device so that their measuring axes (4, 5, 6) are perpendicular relative to each other. The present device also includes electronic units (13, 14, 15) for the horizontal and vertical rotations as well as for the rotation about the longitudinal axis, wherein said units are connected to the control inputs (10, 11, 12) of the panoramic head (17). The present device finally includes a control organ (16) for the mobile part. Any mobile object capable of displacement, including an operator, may be used as a base (1), while any mobile part of the operator's body such as his hands, his head, etc., may be used as a control organ for the mobile part. The device of the present invention may be used for stabilising the image of an object by reversing the signals from the sensitive gyroscopic members (7, 8, 9) at the inputs (10, 11, 12) of the non-stabilised panoramic head (17) which is attached to a support with said device. This system simplifies the construction, reduces the weight, increases the utilisation time, and also allows the operator to use more convenient stands, and his head and hands, for operating the mobile part of said remote control device for the panoramic head of a cinematographic or television camera. |
