PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device and its method multiplying the number of vertical lines to make a video image picked up by using a multi-purpose 4 charge coupled devices(CCDs) in compliance with the high resolution standards. SOLUTION: The circuit includes a 1st memory which writes G1 channel data for 0.5H period outputted from a G1 CCD among 4 CCDs and outputs the written data at a speed twice the write speed, a 2nd memory which writes G2 channel data for 1H period outputted from a G2 CCD among 4 CCDs and outputs the written data at a speed twice the write speed, and a selection means which selects alternately data read from the 1st memory or data read from the 2nd memory to provide an output of a broad band G signal. Since the high resolution standards are satisfied by simply multiplying number of vertical lines of a video signal picked up by using multi-purpose 4 charge coupled devices(CCDs), the cost of the video camera and the video format converter is saved. |
