PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable entered information to be read even in a dark place by adding a light storing pigment to a protecting layer, in a card comprising at least the protecting layer on a printed pattern layer formed on a card base material. SOLUTION: This card 10 comprises a card base material 1, a printed pattern layer 2 and a luminescent protecting layer 3 which contains a light storing pigment and is formed in such a manner that at least the printed pattern layer 2 is covered. This light storing pigment stores energy by the stimulation by a solar light, a lamp light or ultraviolet light, and emits light through the conversion of the stored energy to light after the suspension of the stimulation. Preferably, a chemical compound represented by MAl2 O4 , given at least one or more types of metal element selected from among strontium, calcium and barium as M, or SrAl2 O4 are used as a mother crystal. Thus it is possible to read visible information in the form of a pattern such as a character, diagram or pictorial design even in a dark place by the light emission of the luminescent protecting layer 3 itself. |
