PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam sterilizer capable of informing a user of abnormality of a sterilizing process without delay and automatically releasing the abnormality of the sterilizing process to perform normal sterilizing. SOLUTION: This steam sterilizer is equipped with a temperature detecting part 11 to detect the temperature in a chamber, a pressure detecting part 12 to detect the pressure in the chamber, a counter part 15 to count the sterilizing time of a matter to be sterilized stored in the chamber, a temperature gradient measuring part 14 to measure temperature changes based on temperature detected by a temperature detecting part 14, and a pressure gradient measuring part 15 to measure pressure changes based on a pressure detected by a pressure gradient measuring part to measure pressure changes based on a pressure detected by a pressure detecting part 12. A control part 17 automatically releases abnormality of the sterilizing process when the pressure change pattern to be measured by the pressure gradient detecting part 15 is not stable, and operates the sterilizing process again. An alarm part 22 to alarm abnormality of the sterilizing process and a display part 23 to show abnormality are also equipped on. |
