PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transfer device provided with an endless image carrying means excellent in mechanical strength and low in elongation by containing conductive resin or rubber base material and woven fabric included inside the base material in the endless image carrying means. SOLUTION: A transfer belt 40 being the endless image carrying means is an endless belt, which is obtained by containing the woven fabric 40b consisting of plastic resin in the rubber or resin base material 40a, and the woven fabric 40b is included so that ruggedness by the woven fabric 40b does not influence the surface. The base material 40a is obtained by adding carbon to polyurethane rubber, and its electric volume resistance value is adjusted to the 1×10<5> to 1×10<12>Ω.cm. In the case the electric volume resistance value exceeds 1×10<12>Ω.cm, a transfer current hardly flows, faulty transfer is easily caused, and density becomes thin. Or discharge occurs, and the irregularities in an image are caused. In the case the electric volume resistance value is lower than 1×10<5> , the transfer current flows too mush, so that the defect of the image such as image blurring is caused. |
