The method involves gluing the frame (1,4,5) to a lens (2,3). the gluing step is performed using a hardenable glue which is actuated when exposed to actinic radiation and which is hardened by exposure to the radiation. The frame is elastic at least in the area of the glued part of the lens. The radiation can be ultraviolet radiation or infra-red. The radiation can be applied in two stages to partially harden the glue, allowing adjustment of the joint and a second step to fix the joint. |
