METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE HIGH-PURITY NICKEL CHLORIDE

The nickel chloride preparation method is characterized by effectively removing impurities such as Fe and Si contained in a closed Ni anode generated in an iron manufacturing plant. The method includes: pre-treating a waste Ni anode to remove an impurity containing layer; working the pre-treated waste Ni anode to increase the specific surface area; adding the worked waste Ni anode into a 10-35% HCl aqueous solution to have equivalent ratio of HCl to NiCl2 being 1.0 or more and dissolving the solution at 20-80 degrees centigrade; and heating the nickel chloride solution to 50-105 degrees centigrade to produce an Si-based sludge.
