PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the causes of deterioration due to heat and gives a longer operation life to storage battery packs by arranging to separately mount storage battery packs depending on the characteristics of the electric motor cars, permitting serial or parallel connections for each storage battery pack, and charging and discharging as single battery or combined batteries as required. SOLUTION: Storage battery packs B1 to B4 each having a required capacity are arranged in a divided form depending on the characteristics of the electric motor cars, the battery packs B1 to B4 of each set can be connected in series or parallel, and the batteries are connected in single or in combination as required for charging and discharging. For example, four 100Ah (100V) batteries can be combined together and each battery can be placed in the motor cars separately. By doing this, heat radiation efficiency from each battery during charging or discharging can be improved, the causes of deterioration due to heat can be reduced, and the operating life of each battery can be made longer. |
