The aim of the dispenser is to allow the automatic feeding of fish or other animals, with a high level of precision. It is based on the actuation of an electromagnet on a perforated runner plate 13 which, upon activation of the magnet, releases a granule of food of known weight. The activation of the dispenser is measured by means of a timer 7 which, after the request for food on the part of the fish, generates a pulse of electrical current for a period of time which is sufficient to activate the dispenser 8. The request for food is effected by means of an electrical contact determined by a rod 1 in connection with a ring 3. By means of the incorporation of a programmable clock 17, the system may be used for automatic feeding without it being necessary for the fish to request the food. The timer 7 is connected to a computer 16 for recording the requests for food that are made. <IMAGE> |
