RED INK COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER AND PRODUCTION OF COLOR FILTER WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition high in the solubility of a dye, excellent in stability with time and not causing the clogging of ink jet printer heads by dissolving the specific red dye in an amide organic solvent aqueous solution. SOLUTION: This red ink composition is produced by dissolving (B) a chromium-containing azo anionic red dye in (A) an amide solvent aqueous solution. The component A is an active hydrogen-free compound such as N- methylpyrrolidone and is contained in an amount of 5-30wt.%. The component B is preferably contained in a concentration of 1-10%, and is preferably a chromium-containing phenylazopyrazolone anionic red dye of the formula [R1 -R4 are each H, a halogen, a 1-5C alkyl, an alkoxy; R5 , R6 are H, a 1-5C alkyl, a halogen, etc.; M<+> is a cation].
