PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate energy consumption related to periodic friction by providing a shape memorizing alloy in mutual contact region or its vicinity at lease on stator or rotor between the stator and rotor. SOLUTION: A vibration motor is equipped with a stator 1 attached to a body 2 and a rotor 4 attached to a shaft 3 passing through the stator 1 and a body 2 and the rotor 4 is driven by friction due to the deformation of the stator 1. Among the surfaces of the stator 1, a plurality of piezoelectric ceramic elements 5 are provided on the surface nor facing the rotor 4. These piezoelectric ceramic elements 5 are arranged in a ring-shape in the surroundings of the stator 1, and the stator 1 is deformed so as to drive the rotor 4. Various contact regions between the stator 1 and rotor 4 have shape memorizing alloys and, as a result, the energy loss due to friction between the stator 1 and rotor 4 can be ignored. Thus, a larger stress can be applied to the ceramics of the motor. |
