PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of slime and to surely suppress the clogging in a water receiving device and pipings by disposing a hydrophilic fabric-lime material so as to cover a place where the slime is generated and periodically or occasionally exchanging this hydrophilic fabric-lime material at the time of controlling the slime generated by microorganisms. SOLUTION: The hydrophilic fabric-lime material 3 is installed on a drain pan 2 which is the water receiving device of an air conditioner 1 or chillier, etc., to control the slime of the microorganisms. At this time, the entire part of the hydrophilic fabric-lime material 3 may be laid on the drain pan 2 or may be hung down to the piping 4, etc., and other members. The hydrophilic fabric-lime material 3 is periodically or occasionally peeled and removed together with the slime from the drain pan 2. The hydrophilic fabric-lime material 3 may be a perforated material like sponge, etc., and may be a rigid gel. A woven fabric or non-woven fabric is superior in terms of handling. A woven fabric or non-woven fabric composed of antimicrobial fibers having ion exchange groups in side chains is preferably used for the fabric-like material 3. |
