PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of sharply cutting power consumption with simple constitution. SOLUTION: When power of a DC power source 10 is supplied to a transistor 17 controlling the operation of the transistor 11 disposed between the DC power source 10 and a CPU 12 by a switch 18, the transistor 11 is turned ON by the transistor 17, and the power is supplied from the DC power source 10 to the CPU 12, and a drive signal is supplied from the CPU 12 to the transistor 17 through a signal supply element 16, and the transistor 17 is kept to an operation state. A standby residual heat mode is set by the CPU 12 at a time set by a first timer after image forming operation is ended, and the drive signal to the transistor 17 from the CPU 12 is interrupted after a prescribed time counted by a second timer, and the transistor 11 is turned OFF, and the power supply from the DC power source 10 to the CPU 12 is interrupted, and the device becomes a power saving mode, and the power saving operation sharply cutting the power consumption is performed precisely quantitatively with simple constitution. |
